AnkiBlock blocks your most distracting apps until you complete your Anki cards in AnkiDroid. Your flashcards stay in AnkiDroid — AnkiBlock reads your real study progress and enforces the gate.

Choose apps to block — social media, games, or anything else. When you try to open them, AnkiBlock sends you to study first.

AnkiDroid integration

AnkiBlock connects to AnkiDroid via its public ContentProvider. Deck names, due counts, and review progress are read locally on your device. All studying happens in AnkiDroid.

Flexible goals

Set how many cards unlock each app, your daily study goal, and how long unlocks last. Pick which decks count toward your queue.

Private by design

AnkiBlock does not require an account and does not send your data to our servers. Settings and stats are stored on your device only.

How it works

Install AnkiDroid and grant AnkiBlock database access.
Pick the apps you want to block and set your study rules.
When a blocked app opens, complete the required cards in AnkiDroid.
Earn a timed unlock — then get back to studying tomorrow.

Open source & non-commercial

AnkiBlock is a community project with no commercial intent. The app is free, contains no ads, and does not sell your data. We plan to publish the source code on GitHub.

The app is published by Simon & Vincent UG (haftungsbeschränkt) solely to meet store and legal requirements — not as a paid product.

AnkiBlock is free hobby work by a private individual — not a product of Simon & Vincent UG. The UG is listed as publisher on Google Play for legal and compliance reasons only.

If the app helps you, you may leave an optional personal tip to the developer — not to the UG. Tips are never required and do not unlock features.
